kimberelements is a small fair trade business that partners with indigenous women from the White Mountain tribe in Kenya to make beaded and metalwork jewelry that promotes sustainability and empowers women's education.
Kimber Leblicq, the founder, allocates 10% of all purchases to the WILDest Scholarship, which helps artisans' daughters receive a certificate in Community Development & Wildlife Conservation from the Kenya Wildlife Service.
I got the opportunity to write for kimberelements blog, talking about how important it is for women to receive an education.
After spending six months in Milan, Italy, as an exchange student, I came back to NAU and shared my experience. By attending tabeling events, participating as a panelist for the Center of Study Abroad, and writing about my experience, I was able to share the lessons I learned.
Everything from traversing language barriers to the differences in appearance, especially in clothing, translates to different cultures, and of course, getting to taste the incredible cuisine.

Working alongside the National Park Conservation Association (NPCA), a nonprofit organization striving towards protecting, funding, and establishing new protected lands, me and members of my team create three strategies to effectively increase donations through the NPCA website and various fundraisers.
The client book will also outline tactics that will increase website and social media engagement via user activity and traction. These methods are also trackable and sustainable to follow, as the NPCA can measure all the data through increased donations and click-through rates.
